Dr. Stanley Ob Joseph

Dr. Stanley Ob Joseph is a dedicated research scientist with a PhD in Environmental Science with specific focus on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptations. He holds an MSc in Agriculture (Environmental Resources Management) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Impact Assessment/Strategic Environmental Assessment (EIA/SEA).
Currently serving as the Technical Field Lead for the National Monitoring Field Team (NMFT) at the Environment Agency (EA), UK, Stanley plays a pivotal role in planning and managing the collection and delivery of environmental monitoring programmes. His expertise extends to Environmental Management Systems (EMS), with a strong foundation in ISO14001, ISO14090, and ISO14091 standards. Passionate about sustainability, he is committed to continuous improvement strategies that drive environmental resilience. He has been instrumental in developing and implementing programmes aimed at reducing organizational carbon footprints, with a vision to achieve net-zero carbon by 2030.
His contributions extend beyond the UK— he has facilitated key programmes at the Capacity Building Workshop on Evidence-Informed Decision Making, hosted by the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and The African Institute for Development Policy (AFIDEP).
