London Gateway College Online Study Platform – Terms and Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the London Gateway College Online Study Platform (“Platform”, “Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of the Terms, you may not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility and Account Registration
1.1. You must be at least 16 years old or have appropriate parental/guardian consent to use this Platform.
1.2. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate and complete.
1.3. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all the activities that occur under your account.
2. Use of the Platform
2.1. The Platform is provided solely for educational purposes and may only be used in accordance with these Terms and any additional college policies.
2.2. You agree not to:
- Engage in any activity that interferes with or disrupts the Platform.
- Reproduce, distribute, or resell any part of the Platform without written permission.
- Upload, share, or distribute content that is harmful, unlawful, or violates the rights of others.
2.3. Access to certain features may require payment or enrollment in relevant courses or programs.
3. Course Content and Intellectual Property
3.1. All course materials, including videos, documents, presentations, and assessments, are the intellectual property of London Gateway College or its licensors.
3.2. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any materials on the Platform without prior written consent.
3.3. Materials are provided solely for personal, non-commercial educational use.
4. Code of Conduct
4.1. You agree to:
- Behave respectfully towards instructors, students, and staff.
- Avoid cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty.
- Use communication tools responsibly and professionally.
4.2. Breaches of this code may result in suspension or termination of access to the Platform and further disciplinary action.
5. Privacy and Data Protection
5.1. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which complies with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
5.2. By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Availability and Changes to the Platform
6.1. We aim to ensure continuous availability of the Platform, but we may suspend or limit access for maintenance or upgrades.
6.2. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time with or without notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1. The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee it will be free from errors or uninterrupted.
7.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, London Gateway College is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Platform.
8. Termination
8.1. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our sole discretion for any breach of these Terms or applicable policies.
8.2. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease, and we may delete your account and associated data.
9. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
